The Importance of Mitosis
Mitosis is the stage of the cell cycle where the cells nucleus and nuclear membrane divide and create two identical daughter cells. Without this process life would not go on and our species would most likely go extinct or evolve to another. For example, anyone with injury would not be able to recover. Whether the injury or illness is terminal or not. The reason the body would not be able to recover is because with mitosis the missing cells on a skin wound would not be able to reproduce to create a new layer of skin and this is just a minor case. Imagine surviving cancer patients not being able to survive at all because of the cells that were killed during chemotherapy or any other treatment. Mitosis is imperative to life and keeping humans alive.
